Best Roomba Vacuum Cleaner

This is a great choice when you're looking for a basic robotic cleaner that doesn't have the advanced features of other models. It does an excellent job of picking up pet hair, cat litter, and Cheerios on hardwood floors and even sucked up sand in my tests.

It's quick and precise in the mapping room, and it avoids obstacles well. It can be controlled by hand using the remote included.

1. Roomba Irobot vacuum Cleaner s9+

The S9+ is the top robot vacuum we've tested for cleaning both hard floors and carpeting. It has some of the strongest suction of any robotic cleaner on the market, and does an excellent job of eliminating pet hair. It can be programmed to make multiple passes or adjust suction levels based on the size of the room, something which we haven't encountered in other models. The app lets you alter the way it works and also choose the time it starts working to allow you to be present in the room as it spins around.

The smart mapping feature generates an accurate map of your home to aid the s9+ in navigation and plan efficient routes. It is also self-emptying so you don't have be there to help. It also recharges itself in mid-clean. The s9+ was able navigate around obstacles like tables and power cables with any issue. It never lost its charge and never got stuck. It does not have the hazard-avoidance capabilities of newer models, and could get tangled on rug tassels and other obstacles it isn't able to see.

In contrast to most circular robots the s9+ is flat-fronted and has an unsquared front, which helps it get to corners faster than round models. It's also quieter than the previous iRobot model we test and is less bulky than the Neato Botvac D7. It's not cheap, but it's an excellent value for the price given the quality of its performance and the fact that you don't have to worry about cleaning an unclean bin following the use. The j7+, as with other iRobot vacuum cleaners, is able to avoid obstacles and recognizes them. It also features what iRobot calls Cliff Detect technology, which keeps it from falling down the stairs. It's a fantastic safety feature for families.

The j7+'s bin onboard is quite small, so you'll have return it to the dock to empty it often when your home is huge. However, the j7+ is extremely simple to store. The Clean Base, which comes with it, functions as charging dock, an external dustbin, and an internal bin for the j7+ to place dirt into.

3. Shark iQ

The Shark iQ is more expensive than the iRobot Roomba j7+, however it comes with superior mapping and app features as well as superior cleaning performance on all surface types. This vacuum comes with many features that make it easier to use such as Dirt Detect, which will automatically will spend more time in heavily soiled areas. It can be set to clean at specific intervals of time and has an app for remote control.

The Roomba 694 from iRobot isn't as technologically advanced as the i7, which can self-empty its own dust bin and doesn't come with a mapping system or the capability to create virtual boundary markers. It is more robust and has lower recurring costs than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also has a bigger dust bin and charges faster.

5. Eufy 11s

The Eufy 11s is an incredibly small, attractive robot vacuum that offers an excellent value for the money. It can remove pet hair easily and has a large dirt compartment, and can last for a long period on one charge. It's hard to maintain and navigation is a problem. It doesn't have voice control or a companion app but has a simple to use remote. It doesn't even send you a notification when the dust container is full, so you'll have to check it often.

The eufy comes with many advantages over the bObsweep Bob Pro however, in some areas it is not as effective as the irobot roomba vacuum mop Roomba 694. The iRobot is more durable, has less components that require regular maintenance, has a HEPA filter that can last longer on a single charge and provides better cleaning performance on bare floors and carpets that have high and low piles. It also has a more sophisticated navigation system that can maneuver over obstacles and incorporate more advanced automation features, such as boundary strips.

Although the eufy is still an acceptable option, I recommend the iRobot Roomba 900 Series for most users. The iRobot Roomba 900 Series is simpler to maintain, more durable, has a bigger dustbin and performs better on all surfaces. It's also quicker to recharge and provides a longer maximum battery life.

The eufy robot is better than the ILIFE A4s but not as good as high-end robots like the Roborock S7 maxV Ultra. The irobot roomba for pets is better-built and has a larger dust bin and has lower ongoing costs. It also comes with more sophisticated automation capability including boundary lines, and a navigation algorithm that is more sophisticated. The irobot for pet hair can also take care of pet hair more effectively, and it's much easier to maintain than the Eufy.
