About Toto

The band Toto was formed in the year 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro and David Paich (who were also acclaimed studio musicians working with Boz Scaggs at the time) and singer/bassist Bobby Kimball. The name of the group came from a Latin word that translates to "all-encompassing" and was determined to explore every musical style.

The third album by Toto, Turn Back, was a failure in 1981. However they came back with their fourth release, Isolation, which contained two hit songs with the title track and Roseanna. The album and tour make them a household name around the world.

After a hiatus of a couple of years, Toto return with the album Fahrenheit in the year 1986. It is a departure from the ballads of previous albums and includes some heavy rock. It was their first platinum album in North America.

During the recording of the band's fifth album the band 안전놀이터 순위 loses their manager and is faced with financial difficulties. They decide to change their name and create a new album with the new producer. The lead vocalist Fergie Frederiksen leaves the band and is replaced by Joseph Williams, son of the legendary film composer John Williams and 1950s actress Barbara Ruick. In 1999, the band released Mindfields and begins an extensive worldwide tour. After a few months in Europe they travel to Japan where the shows are sold out. The album features a cover of Weezer's hit song Hash Pipe as a response to the band's coverage of Africa during their recent tour. Toto's touring lineup includes drummer Lenny Castro and bassist Shannon Forrest along with keyboardist Shem Von Schroeck.

Following this, the band disbanded once again. However, Toto reunited in 2010 to benefit the ALS Foundation. It was the first time in more than 31 years that all of Toto's original members performed together. The group returned to the road in 2012 after the release of their album 40 Trips Around The Sun.

The album was a return to their best form and the tour that accompanied it featured sold-out shows in North America and Europe. Toto's reunion was made more exciting by the addition of guitarist Steve Lukather and bassist Shem von Schroeck, both of whom had rejoined the group.
