Three Wheeled Buggies

Three-wheeled buggies are great for walking around the neighborhood or jogging. Their compact design makes them easy to manoeuvre even in tight areas.

For an easy ride, opt for a pram fitted with air-filled tyres. Also, look for models with a 360deg front swivel wheel. However, they are more prone to punctures, so be prepared with a repair kit.

Sturdy frame

New data show that three-wheeled buggies that were the symbol of the noughties that had more money than common sense, are in a steep decline. They are being replaced by four-wheelers that are able to be more versatile in terrain, while also looking elegant and easy to push.

MFM reviewer Kath tried the buggy with a newborn and a 3 wheel stroller reversible seat year old and found that it was able to withstand grass, cobbles, rough roads, dirt tracks and kerbs. She said that it felt sturdy to push, and very solid on difficult terrain. Its tyres (which are inflatable so need periodic pumping) offer built-in suspension, which was very comfortable for my kids.

Another thing to think about is the size and shape. The seat should be large enough for your child to feel at ease and to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies have the option of lying flat that allows the child to face you, while other buggies only allow a face-to-parent one.

The only drawback to this incredible maneuverability is that the larger wheels of the 3 wheel buggy might make it difficult to fit into tight spaces. This is something you need to be aware of when you live in an urban area. If this is an issue, a 4-wheel buggy might be a better choice for you.
