Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high velocity and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and along baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot vacuum with mop mop and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't produce the same volume of sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install, and it works well. The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our review, but it has some distinct features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is notable for its massive dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot vacuums that mop (just click the next site), a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start a cleaning job or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic vacuum cleaner emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise at finding objects.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it is entangled in a blockage like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It will not work until you remove it manually. This is a rare event however it was frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its application.

Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxy models.
