Private ADHD Titration

There is a national shortage of medications to treat ADHD symptoms. This is due to manufacturing issues and an increased demand in the world.

Our service can offer private ADHD titration as an alternative to waiting for NHS funding through Right to Choose. Our assessment fees cover the cost of a single prescription.

Titration

A thorough evaluation of your adhd titration waiting list symptoms will be carried out by an experienced consultant Psychiatrist. This includes a thorough medical history, and an assessment using the standard ADHD questionnaires and rating scales.

After your evaluation After your assessment, you will be informed whether medication is appropriate for your specific situation. If you decide to return to NHS treatment, you will receive a private prescription for your medication. You will have to pay at the pharmacy. This is not included in the consultation cost. You must keep up with your appointments every six months to monitor your medications. This includes blood pressure and pulse measurements. Annual checks are also required.

Follow-up appointments

We also recommend that you check whether your GP accepts a "Shared Care Agreement that means that once you are discharged from the clinic you will be sent back to them to get the medication prescription.

Medication

If this happens, the titration appointment will be included in their consultation fee, and they will be given their medication via private prescription (see Consultation fees above). This can cost more than an NHS prescription as the pharmacy will charge for the medication.
