WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. A random extra substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade item gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Crests

For instance it's a good idea utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the Best item upgrade equipment available and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan to make. This is particularly true for items like rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to take advantage of the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with top-quality gear.
