Autel MaxiIM KM100 can successfully add Kia Grand Carnival SXL 2019 key by OBD. With the original working key in hand, here is how to do it:

Read key information

As you can see, the Autel MAXIIM IKEY remote has the same buttons as the original one.

Plug the VCI adapter into the OBDII port.

Read original key information and frequency:

IMMO Type: HITAG3(ID47), Manchester, Code Lock.

Frequency: 433.92MHZ FSK

Generate Key

Universal Key >> Europe >> Kia >> Carnival (YP) >> 2018 >> Kia Carnival (YP) 2014-2018

Insert Autel IKEY Remote into KM100 slot.

Press "Generate Universal Key" and wait until it reaches 100%...

Key generation completed.

Read pin code

Turn on ignition.

IMMO >> Kia >> Auto Select >> Read >> OK >> GTH >> OK >> Smart Key >> IMMO Status Scan

Shows no abnormality.

Number of learned keys: 1

Read pin code >> Read pin code (47 smart key)

This function is only for reading pin ID 47. Press Yes.

Turn on hazard lights.

Wait for PIN code reading...

Read pin code: 593797

Add key

Press "Add key (guided)" to return.

All keys will be deleted. Please prepare all available keys.

All old keys need to be re-learned to function properly.

Turn off ignition and open and close driver's door once.

Confirm pin code and press "OK".

After pressing "OK", hold the key in the ignition switch for 5 seconds.

Wait until the security light flashes once.

Programming successful.

Press "Yes" to add the next one.

Press and hold the ignition switch with the new key for 5 seconds.

Programming successful.

Number of keys: 2

Test all remotes, all doors open successfully.

Engine start OK.

Finished.
