3 Wheeler Buggies

A three-wheeler is ideal for rough terrain and provides the most comfortable ride for your infant. They can also be easier to move and push than a four-wheeler, especially those with fabric slings or modular seats that are set perfectly in the frame, delivering the best geometry and weight distribution.

Stability

A three-wheeler has great stability, which is why it's a good option for off-road walks (especially with an all terrain or off-road-style seat). They usually have large front wheels that can deal well with bumps and kerbs as well as rough ground. This delivers a much lower centre of gravity and a perfect weight distribution. This makes it easier to push, especially on bumpy terrain or over curbs. MFM reviewer Kath liked the way this type of seat handled challenges.

Storage

The 3-wheeled frame is more sturdy and can be moved with just one hand. It's also better for terrain that is difficult. However, it does mean that the basket won't hold the same amount as a 4-wheeled buggy.

A high-quality ATP will have pneumatic tyres with a padded grip for comfort and excellent suspension. It should also be equipped with a carrycot and car seat which means you can use it right from the time you are born.

MFM's reviewers have discovered that the 3 wheel twin stroller-wheeler frame doesn't fit through all the doors of their homes or small car boot - be sure you know the dimensions of the buggy once it's folded before buying if you're worried about space.

Tyres
